Worship throughout the Year
Morning Prayer - 7.15am Monday to Thursday (25 minutes)
A Service of Readings and Prayers to start the day.
Tuesday Eucharist - 10.00am
A simple act of worship at the heart of the community (30 minutes)
Sunday Said Eucharist - 8.00am
A quite service using 'traditional' language. (First Sunday - BCP)
Sunday Main Service - 10am
A friendly, family atmosphere, where people young and old, able and differently able can expect to find a welcome.
We look forward to encounter with God, the one who welcomes us as his children and whom we are able to call Our Father.
Our worship and music draw on old and new, valuing the riches from our ancestors and from our children. At the same time we aim to keep a familiar structure and a clear guide to what is happening, so that everyone can join in.
Children are welcomed not as a priviledge but as rightful members of God's family. The service starts with a short talk with the children in mind, and Sunday Club follows for those who would like it (parents can stay or go with the children). The children join us again later and are able to share with us what they have been doing.
Step Inside - A Service for All Ages. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, we stay together for the whole service and while we aim to keep it for All Ages, the balance is much more in favour of the children than in other weeks.
Meeting Places
Sunday Evening Services - 7.30pm
Meeting Places are a series of opportunities to encounter God. Each one is distinct having its own flavour, but they are all linked together by their themes building to form a whole.
1st Sunday Grow... Unlocking the Bible
We explore one part of the bible - who wrote it, what was the time and place, what does it teach?
2nd Sunday Reflect... Celtic Reflection and Worship
Rooted in daily life, yet also reflective in style. This evening draws on the rich Celtic tradition.
3rd Sunday Connect... Sung Eucharist
A quite Eucharist with hymns. While remaining simple it is likely to develop over the year.
4th Sunday Celebrate... Praise and Worship
Bringing together all that we have experienced in the month, it does exactly what is days on the label, celebrate!
5th Sunday Rest... No Evening Service
This year we are leaving these empty. What might you do with that time?
